August 15, 2026 - Storm Cleanup & Community Update

 

Weston Ridge Residents,

As you are all aware, our community recently experienced severe weather that resulted in significant landscape damage throughout the neighborhood. High winds and heavy storms left several large trees downed, broken limbs suspended in tree canopies, and extensive debris scattered throughout common areas, along with significant damage to private properties.

We want to assure you that the Weston Ridge POA Board is actively working to address storm damage in our common areas as safely and efficiently as possible. However, due to the widespread severity of the storm across our region, local tree care professionals, arborists, emergency crews, and public works teams are currently operating at or near capacity.

 

What You Need to Know About the Cleanup Effort

Safety Is the First Priority
Hazardous situations, such as hanging branches that pose an immediate danger to people, structures, or roadways, blocked roads, and damaged utility lines, are being prioritized first.

 

Removal Timeline
Full removal of downed trees and large debris will take time. Local arborists and contractors are working through significant emergency backlogs, so major tree and debris removal, as well as stump grinding, will take place over the coming days and weeks. In some cases, the full restoration process could extend longer.

 

Weston Ridge POA Common Areas
The WRPOA Board is actively assessing damaged trees and other storm-related hazards throughout our common areas. Trees requiring removal or trimming will be addressed based on safety, severity, and contractor availability. Please understand that contractors throughout the region are currently prioritizing the most urgent situations first.

 

Please Use Caution Around Cleanup Crews
Cleanup crews, contractors, and St. John Public Works personnel and equipment may be moving throughout the community over the coming weeks. Please exercise extra caution when driving through the neighborhood and give workers and equipment plenty of room to operate safely.

 

The WRPOA Board greatly appreciates your patience, understanding, and cooperation as we work through the cleanup and restoration process together. We know how much our residents care about Weston Ridge, and we are committed to restoring our common areas and bringing our community back to its best.
